About the Exhibition

Exploring the Collection: A Selection from the Osceola Arts Permanent Collection

Osceola arts highlights contemporary regional artists whose work enriches our community. This exhibition shares work from our permanent collection that has been gathered since Osceola Arts’ beginnings. Our collection features works acquired by donation and purchase from local and traveling artists. Osceola Arts prides itself in its patronage for the arts with the goal of introducing works to a broader audience and encouraging collecting art on a local level.

This exhibition celebrates the work of all those who contributed to building our collection throughout the years, reminding us of the history of the arts center.

Works of art can take many forms, and artists throughout history have pushed at the boundaries of the traditional materials of painting, drawing, and sculpture to create powerful visual expressions and experiences. This eclectic selection of works from the permanent collection demonstrates very different approaches to the creative process.

Featured artists include Stefan Alexandres, Barbara Batchelder, Maria Barry, David E. Bernard, Pedro Brull, David Hunter, Gregory A. Jones, Lorri Y. Kelly, Virginia Moore, David Reese, Paul Rosenberger, Robinson Scott, Scott Swezy, Michael Weber, and more.

These works will be displayed in the Studio Gallery from November 8 through December 31. For more information contact marilyn@osceolaarts.org
