Osceola Arts presents El Tercer Espacio | The Third Space, artworks created by Lissette Otero-Lewis in the Studio Gallery from February 22 through April 11. Otero-Lewis is an accomplished photographer with an MFA from the Academy of Art, San Fransisco. Focused on exploring cultural hybridity within the Puerto Rican Diaspora through contemporary lyrical documentary-style photography, She intertwines her narrative of growing up in the United States with her Puerto Rican heritage and family experiences.
In her ongoing projects, Otero-Lewis delves into unique perspectives and stories within her own identity and family. What she desires is for audiences to undergo a profound and thought-provoking experience when encountering her work. Exhibiting in museums and galleries, Otero-Lewis's visually compelling portraits are crafted to inspire introspection and leave a lasting impact on those who engage with them.
