Due to Hurricane Milton, we have decided to cancel all programs and events this week, starting Wednesday, October 9. This includes all youth programming and our annual Osceola Arts Lip Sync Battle that was scheduled for Saturday, October 12, at Osceola Heritage Park. The safety of our community is our top priority.

The Lip Sync Battle will be rescheduled, and we are working with Osceola Heritage Park to determine a new date.

Osceola Arts - Art in Public Places at Hart Memorial Library presents 'This Is Life" by Deivi Sanchez on display from October 12 through December 30.
Deivi Sanchez, originally from Venezuela and now based in Central Florida, is both a Computer Science graduate and a "painter of the spirit". His artistic journey began in 2017 with a 24-hour drawing course at "La Madeja de las Ideas" in Cancún, followed by a hyper-realistic painting workshop led by Omar Ortiz in Mexico City in 2020. Since then, Sanchez has spent countless hours in solitude, accompanied by his dogs, cat, brushes, and colors from various mediums.

"My work is born from the soul and lives in constant change. At first, it was something incomprehensible. It was as if suddenly a silent stranger raised his voice. He seemed familiar to me, but he was still a stranger. My paintings are a representation of life itself, colors are a representative of my culture and identity. Nostalgia is my ally in my loneliness, silence guides my path." says Sanchez.

Osceola Arts -Art in Public Places at the West Osceola Library in Celebration presents Cuban-born Mariano Herrera. Mariano is a self-taught artist who emigrated to the United States in the 1960s. In his youth, Mariano Herrera was influenced by several notable artists, including Salvador Dali, Wilfredo Lam, and Max Ernst. These artists are known for their contributions to surrealism and abstraction and shaped Herrera's artistic style and techniques.

Today his artwork is inspired by his memories of the Isla de Pinos, his childhood home. He recalls the intense blue skies, the aquamarine colors of the sea, and the lush green colors of the island. These memories have translated into the brilliant colors and biomorphic shapes on his canvases. Mariano Herrera's art is deeply rooted in his personal experiences, his Cuban heritage, and the artistic influences he has encountered throughout his life. His art is a joyful reflection of his memories and the beauty of the natural world, as seen through the lens of his unique abstract perspective.

Works by Mariano Herrera will be on display from October 7 through December 30 at West Osceola Branch Library, 305 Campus St.

Osceola Arts in Kissimmee pays tribute to Hispanic Heritage Month with its 16th "Arte Sin Fronteras/ Art Without Borders“ Celebrating Hispanic Artists and Culture Art Exhibition on display through November 1.
This juried art show honors the history, heritage, and culture of the Hispanic/Latinx community, showcases Florida artists. Over 100 works that represent a wide range of artistic skills and include a variety of media, subjects, and creative styles.

Works are for sale!

Galleries are free and open Tuesday through Thursday from 10am-5pm, Friday 12pm -5pm, Saturday and Sunday during scheduled theater productions.

Osceola Arts The Time for ARTisNOW murals project presents local artist Ian Soden. Ian will paint a mural at St. Cloud Levee Liquor & Gas for our new St. Cloud murals program.

Soden is an artist and professional muralist out of Melbourne, Florida, with a background in graphic design, fine art, and illustration. His most notable works include large-scale public and private murals, ranging from abstract and surreal, to illustrative and photorealistic. His focus on linework, range of color, contrast, depth, and realism is evident in much of his work, as is his imagination and love of science fiction, fantasy, and abstract art. Many of his murals are located within the Eau Gallie Arts District in Melbourne, FL, as well as all throughout Brevard County. @iansoden

Osceola Arts The Time for ARTisNOW Mural Project is excited to announce its next mural to be painted by renowned artist Christopher Maslow. Maslow is most recognized for his large-scale murals and fine art. A diverse painter at heart, Maslow blends a variety of artistic mediums and practices into his paintings. Abstract mark-making, surrealism, and graffiti are some of the many methods that make up Maslow's work. The Space Coast native expresses a southern underlying narrative throughout his work and often explores the duality of life and death. Maslow works closely with institutions, collectors, and corporations to create unique creative projects.

CALL FOR ARTISTS- DEADLINE October 14! Osceola Arts in Kissimmee presents Authentically Me: A Celebration of the Transgender Community in Central Florida, on display in the Studio Gallery from November 7 through December 7. We are thrilled to announce an upcoming exhibition dedicated to celebrating and highlighting the art of transgender, and gender non-conforming artists living in Central Florida. Our goal is to center and uplift stories told from the artists’ perspectives, offering a platform for diverse voices and experiences. This exhibition is open to all transgender, and gender non-conforming artists, 15 years and older.
Media accepted for review: painting, photography, and digital art. All submissions must be suitable for viewers of all ages.
All art submissions will be reviewed and selected for display. Artists can submit up to three works for review. Complete the online submission form available at

Notable achievements include winning Best Fine Art by Airbrush Magazine and Best Paint in Classic Cars by Lowrider Magazine. His artistry has also been showcased in Plush and Maxim Magazine publications. He is a theme park scenic painter, contributing to creating props and custom amusement park finishes for renowned entertainment giants like Disney and Universal Studios and parks worldwide. Mr. Morales has completed his butterfly mural at 27 Broadway in Downtown Kissimmee. Take a selfie and share it with us!

Osceola Arts- Art in Public Places presents Kissimmee artist Grisel "Nilda" Negron. Ms. Negron has a compelling story that reflects her dedication to both art and community healing. Born into a working-class family in Puerto Rico, she initially pursued a career as an elementary teacher, with a minor in fine art. Seeking further education, she moved to Boston to study Expressive Therapies at the graduate level. However, she found that the college curriculum often didn't resonate with the marginalized communities she was passionate about serving.

This realization led her to shift her focus towards the therapeutic and joyous aspects of art-making. Negron found a deep connection with clay, a malleable medium that she uses to convey her narrative. She describes clay as offering endless possibilities for expression: “Clay as an earthy medium that can be handled, constructed, and deconstructed, it gives options for conveying my story. I can visually show, communicate feelings, make statements, fight stereotypes, educate, and empower. I see myself using clay/art as a tool to build a more sound, colorful, and inclusive environment.” Through her work, Negron continues to advocate for art as a powerful tool for education, empowerment, and fostering inclusivity.

At Osceola Arts in the Studio Gallery- SUEÑOS DEL HOMBRE CAIMÁN-Dreams of the Alligator Man works by Orlando artist Fernando Molinares @mrmonk90 on display from September 3 through October 25.
The legend of the Caimán-man, a hybrid of human and caiman, embodies the spirit of Colombian folklore. According to the tale, this creature flees from his homeland, it reaches the Atlantic Ocean near Barranquilla, Colombia, at Bocas de Ceniza, where the Magdalena River merges with the Caribbean Sea. There, he encounters persecution from fishermen intrigued and frightened by his unusual appearance. “Hombre Caimán” (Alligator-Man) has become a customary label for any man born and raised on Colombia's north coast.

Fernando Molinares, hailing from Barranquilla, shares a kinship with the iconic Caimán-man. In many ways, he too is a hybrid. This sense of hybridity is not unique to him; everyone experiences moments of feeling strange or different, especially in environments where they are not part of the majority. Through his art, Molinares delves into his emotional connections with the Caimán-man, portraying these sentiments through dream-like images filled with symbolism and elements of magical realism. His work reflects the universal experience of being a "strange creature in a strange land," evoking the deeply human feeling of being different.

Osceola Arts -The Time For ARTisNOW Murals Program presents local artist Noah Cook @noahhcook . Noah Cook is a contemporary, multimedia artist and muralist currently living and working in Melbourne, Florida. Drawing inspiration from pop art, graffiti, and traditional painting, Cook is not afraid to combine styles and mediums to create work with a fresh style and sense of humor. He is constantly exploring innovative ways to present his compositions. the combination of his illustrative technique and painterly style creates a sense that his work manifests organically as the paint and ink drip freely, but this sense is contradicted by the highly detailed and controlled elements of his paintings. Cook enjoys the juxtaposition created in his compositions by melding traditional and contemporary painting techniques, line work, and the occasional use of collage and found items, which draw in the viewer and keep them guessing about his technical process. An accomplished muralist, Cook is not constrained by scale. His work evokes a sense of nostalgia and is accessible through his use of pop culture icons in music, film, and snack food.
