Meet our Instructors
Young Actors Company: Ages 5-8 and 9-12
Miss Andrea was a Florida State Certified teacher in grades Pre-K through 6 for over 10 years in Florida. She has been performing in shows since the age of 8 and brings 15 years of dance training to the Young Actors program at Osceola Arts. Miss Andrea believes that participation in the arts can impact a child positively in all areas of life. She is so very excited to be working with the Young Actors Company!
Field Trips & Camp LOL: A Sketch Comedy Camp for Kids
Joy earned her degree in theatre performance from Greensboro College in North Carolina. She has been working in the entertainment industry in stand up & comedy for 15 years. She spent 9 years with the Nickelodeon Hotel. She recently directed the main stage show Boeing Boeing and is excited to continue teaching the 4th grade field trips and improv classes here at Osceola Arts.
Young Actors Company: Ages 13-17
Caleb Bennett is thrilled to be a part of the Young Actors Company at Osceola Arts as the resident choreographer for the 13-17 age group. He graduated from the performing arts program at Sea Coast academy in Jacksonville and moved to Orlando to pursue a career working at Walt Disney World in the entertainment department. He has worked for numerous theater companies including Baggy Pants Theater and the Breakthrough Theater of Winter Park. Recently his works have been seen on the Main Stage for the Young Actors production of High School Musical 2 Jr, and most recently he presented a series of theatrical dance workshops specializing in 60s and partnering styles dances for the upcoming production of Hairspray Jr.
Young Actors Company: Ages 13-17
Jonny is a Florida native who got his start in Miami as a performer. He spent many years performing at The Miami Children's Theatre, The Miami Stage Company and The Actors Playhouse before moving to Orlando to perform at Walt Disney World. He has spent his time in Orlando performing at numerous theaters and Directing at The Stage with Winter Springs Performing Arts. He is eager to share his experience and knowledge with the next generation of actors.
Adult & Children's Pottery Classes
Carolyn is a Florida artist with 20 years in the area. She was first introduced to clay while studying printmaking at the University of Central Florida. Since completing her BFA in 2008, with a specialization in ceramics. Carolyn has been exhibiting her work in state and national exhibitions. She works out of her studio in St. Cloud, Florida and exhibits in art fairs throughout the state. Currently she teaches the ceramic classes and the visual arts summer camps here at Osceola Arts. Davis has received numerous awards for her ceramics and prints; her work can be found in both public and private collections.
Mr. Feliciano spent 40+ years in New York City; working in the theatre, on & off Broadway, the Metropolitan Opera House, The New York Shakespeare Festival, Summer Stock, the ballet, Film, and Television. Though retired after eleven years of teaching, he now teaches art classes for adults at Bishop Grady Villas in St. Cloud and the Osceola Arts 4th grade field trips and summer camps. Mr. Feliciano is also a member of the Puerto Rican art collective “La Diaspora”.
Adult & Children's Art Classes
The artist studied Graphic Design at Wigan Technical college in Northern England. As a painter she is self- taught. After finishing college she moved to Rome , Italy where she painted for five years, she found the surroundings very conducive to bettering herself as an artist. In 1986 she moved to the United States and worked for The Rank Organization in Pennsylvania as a graphic designer, she was with the company for five years then moved on to work as an art director for a regional magazine. In 1992 she moved to Orlando, Florida. She has been working out of Cafe Tu Tu Tango’s on International Drive since 1996 selling her artwork, she enjoys the interaction with the public and painting in front of a live audience. Louise has been teaching Adult Drawing and Children's Arts for many years and she finds it very rewarding to inspire her students, since 1996 she has motivated hundreds of students to discover their creative talents, and many have moved on to be award winning artists themselves.
Young Actors Company, Ages 13-17 & Dance Classes
Lauren has been dancing for the past 21 years. She grew up studying and competing in tap, musical theater, jazz, contemporary, and ballet. She has been teaching these styles of dance since 2009, specializing in tap dance. In 2010, she founded “Stomp the Swamp”, a tap dance company at the University of Florida. After graduating from college, Lauren moved to New York City to study tap dance with the masters for the next few years, where she focused heavily on crafting her tap dance improvisation skills under Barbara Duffy. She studied at Steps on Broadway and the American Tap Dance Foundation with tap masters like Barbara Duffy, Brenda Bufalino, Derick Grant, and Felipe Galganni. In 2017, Lauren moved back to Orlando and began traveling and teaching tap dance workshops at studios focusing on improvisation, musicality, and music theory. She is currently also teaching various dance styles at multiple studios in the Orlando area. Lauren has been assisting Caleb Bennett with choreography and dance workshops at Osceola Arts since September 2017. She served as assistant choreographer for their recent production of Hairspray. Lauren is so excited to continue working with Osceola Arts and to share her passion for tap dance. She is looking forward to teaching upcoming tap workshops and assisting with future spring musicals.
Bob Ross Paint Workshops
Bernie has a degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and spent 15 years in the graphic arts industry as a designer, art director and account executive. He is a Bob Ross Certified Instructor and has been conducting workshops at Osceola Arts since 2005. He is certificated to teach Landscape/Seascape, Floral and Wildlife classes and conducts teacher certification classes nationally and internationally for the Bob Ross Company. he looks froward to sharing this amazing technique with you in an easy to follow step-by-step painting method.
Young Actors Company: Ages 13-17
Kristen is originally from Michigan, where she graduated from Eastern Michigan University earning a BS in English, as well as her teaching certification. This began her journey to Florida as a teacher. 10 years later, she is not only a director of the Young Actors Company here at Osceola Arts, but she is also the theatre teacher at St. Cloud Middle School. With a dance background of 25 years, and an extreme love for musicals and the arts, she is happy to have found a home here with the Osceola Arts Young Actors Company.
